Compliance Claims Disclaimer

Effective date: July 17, 2026 · Last updated: July 17, 2026

WP Medical Directory is built for the healthcare web, and our site describes accessibility standards and healthcare regulations in the course of explaining the product. Read those descriptions with the following understanding.

1. Nothing here is legal advice

Descriptions of WCAG 2.1, the ADA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Section 508, HIPAA, or any other law or standard are informational summaries. Laws change, and how they apply depends on your organization’s size, funding, state, and circumstances. Verify your obligations with qualified counsel.

2. What our WCAG 2.1 AA claim means — and doesn’t

The patient-facing templates that ship with the plugin are engineered to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA in their default configuration. Your live site’s conformance also depends on your theme, your content (including images, PDFs, and embedded media), your customizations, and other plugins. Installing WP Medical Directory does not, by itself, make your website conform to WCAG or comply with the ADA or Section 504.

3. What our HIPAA statements mean — and don’t

The plugin is deliberately designed to operate outside HIPAA’s scope: it does not collect, store, or process Protected Health Information, and it implements no patient accounts. That is an architectural property of the plugin, not a compliance certification for your organization. Your organization’s HIPAA obligations are determined by everything else you do, not by this plugin. We are not a business associate and do not sign Business Associate Agreements.

4. Regulatory dates and scope

Where we cite rules such as the HHS Section 504 web-accessibility final rule, we describe them as accurately as we can as of this page’s effective date. That rule binds recipients of HHS federal financial assistance (for example, organizations participating in Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP), and its compliance dates vary by organization size — generally May 2026 for recipients with 15 or more employees and May 2027 for smaller recipients. [CONFIRM CURRENT DATES/THRESHOLDS WITH COUNSEL] Always confirm current requirements before relying on any date or threshold stated on this site.

5. Substantiation

We maintain internal accessibility audit records for the plugin’s shipped templates. Customers undergoing an audit may request our current conformance documentation at support@wpmedicaldirectory.com.
